Hayley sings at Passchendaele Memorial Service

Hayley sang Abide with Me at the Passchendaele Memorial service. Here is a short exert and clip from TV3.

"The Prime Minister Helen Clark attended two services today in Belgium and paid tribute to the endurance and sacrifice of New Zealand soldiers in the grim World War One battles of Passchendaele.

The first 35-minute service was at 9.30am at the New Zealand memorial at Graven-stafel and was attended by up to 150 people.

The second - a joint service with Australia at the sprawling Tyne Cot Cemetery - was about an hour long and attended by up to 300.

At both services wreaths were laid, the ode to fallen read in both Maori and English, the national anthem sung, and the Last Post and Reveille bugled.

New Zealander Hayley Westenra sang the hymn Abide With Me at the Tyne Cot Cemetery service. at the Tyne Cot Cemetery service.
